With a snip of gold-plated scissors, the PGA National Resort community became the new home of the Professional Golfers’ Association of America PGA.com in 1980.

Presiding over the ceremony were Frank Cardi, PGA President, E. Llwyd Ecclestone Jr., president of National Investment Co., which developed PGA National, and Palm Beach Gardens Mayor Samuel Laurie.

Home to a professional golf tournament on the PGA tour (The Honda Classic from 2007-2023 and now the Cognizant Classic), the resort attracts worldwide attention annually.
