Gardens home built in world record time

pbghistory

In 1981, Otto "Buz" Divosta developed a quick-setting cement to aid in the construction of a move-in-ready, three-bedroom, two-bath single-family home complete with a two-car garage and irrigated landscaping in under eight hours.

More than 500 workers were needed to construct the new Guinness world record, which passed all building code requirements upon completion.

The house was auctioned off and the proceeds were donated to the city of Palm Beach Gardens to pay for a municipal swimming pool.

Photos are screenshots from the 1981 video. Please excuse the blurry quality.
